Say a Prayer

For those of you who read both my blogs, I apologize for the cross posting of this message.  This blog is all about entertainment and escaping the real world, but sometimes a story is bigger that that and it creeps in to our escapism.

Last night, a major earthquake in the Pacific rocked Japan causing major damage.  The extent of the damage won't be known for some time because they are still getting aftershocks and the quake has caused tsunamis.  One has already rocked Japan.  Even now multiple islands in the Pacific, including Hawaii are in tsunami warnings.  There's even a chance the West Coast of the United States may experience some substantial waves.
From the AP Wire - Tsunami damage in Japan
Here in the Midwest, there is little we can physically do at this point to help these people, but there is one thing each of us can do.  Pray.  Pray for the families that have already lost people; pray for those in the danger zone.  In the New Testament, Jesus calmed the waters of the Sea of Galilee; pray now that God will calm the waters of the ocean to minimize the potential damage.

In the days to come, there will be opportunities to donate of your time and treasure.  Right now, just pray.
