- Tom Cruise will star in the sci-fi film, Oblivion. It is scheduled to begin shooting in October.
- Darren Aronofsky's (Black Swan) name is being batted around as a replacement for Tim Burton on Angelina Jolie lead Sleeping Beauty project, Maleficent. He is also being courted by Warner Brothers to helm one of the two (of course) projects about Moses.
- "Macho Man" Randy Savage, who helped make wresting the huge industry it is today, died in a car accident. It is believed a heart attack prompted the accident.
- Evidently, Kenneth Branagh didn't direct the post credits scene in Thor. That fell to Joss Whedon who is directing next year's The Avengers.
- Attention Odd Thomas fans - Director Chris Columbus has started filming the movie based on the Dean Koontz bestselling novel.
