- The Little Mermaid is evidently the next fairy tale to get a dark makeover. Sony has purchased the rights to Mermaid: A Twist on a Classic Tale by Carolyn Turgeon.
- "The Lord of the Rings with candy." This is evidently how the screenwriter is looking to adapt Candyland (yes, the game) into a movie.
- Frankenstein appears to be the next big thing (vampires and werewolves have had their day). Peter Ackroyd's The Casebook of Victor Frankenstein has been optioned for Sam Raimi's production company. This is one of at least four Frankenstein films in development.
- Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit) will play Juliet in a new adaptation of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.
- Looks like Piranha 3D has spawned more than a sequel:

- The Celebrity Apprentice season finale was down this season. Is the show losing its appeal or is it Trump overload?
- Loved, loved, loved the season finale of Supernatural!!! I am kind of bummed though with the announcement that it means Misha Collins won't be a series regular next season.
